On the occasion of the closing of Ephemeral Lands, our exhibition that took place form March 7th until April 13th, 2024, we are delighted to invite you to a conversation between the artists Salah Missi and Serwan Baran, moderated by Dr. Basel Dalloul.

About our guests:

Serwan Baran (b.1968) is an Iraqi Kurdish artist, based in Lebanon. He has held numerous exhibitions in Egypt, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Morocco & Lebanon. In 2019 he was representing the Iraqi pavilion at the Venice Biennale, and had a solo exhibition in 2020 at Saleh Barakat Gallery(Beirut). In 2023, he was invited for a residency by Analix Forever (Geneva) with Ayman Baalbaki, Said Baalbaki & Abdul Rahman Katanani to work together on the theme of peace, followed by the collective exhibition F... moi la paix.

 

Basel Dalloul founded the Dalloul Art Foundation in 2017 to manage and promote his parents' (Ramzi & Saeda Dalloul) vast collection of modern and contemporary Arab art. At over 4000 pieces, it is the largest collection of its kind in private hands. The collection includes but is not limited to paintings, photography, sculpture, video and mixed media art.
